Description -

The Category C1 licence permits persons to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. This licence allows people to drive large vehicles such as ambulances, motorhomes, small lorries, emergency services, logistics, and transportation. A person who has a driving licence and is above the age of 18 can qualify to drive. No need for HGV training if you cleared the driving test before January 1997. You also have a valid CPC.

This is generally a 17.5 - hour course. The course can be shorter or longer. It depends on individual needs. We can also provide flexible training. It allows you to combine full and half days of training if you wish.

You will need of few things when you apply for C1 7.5 tonne licence -

  • Fill out the D2 application form for the provisional licence.
  • Use the D4 Form to have a Medical.
  • Send both forms with the current driving licence to DVLA.
  • The next step is a theory test Which is a multiple-choice or Hazard perception test.  
    As soon as you have passed the test, we will arrange your Practical Driving Course with DVSA Module 3. If necessary your Driver CPC Module 4 Demonstration Training and Test.

The course duration is usually 5 days. But it varies according to your experience, skill, and abilities. On the last day, you will have 2 hours of practice before your exam.
