D1+E 12 Hour Course – Book (Cat D1+E)
The D1+E 12 Hour Course with GS Driver Training gives you the skills and licence you need to tow a trailer with a minibus. With a Category D1+E licence, you can drive a minibus with 9–16 passenger seats while towing a trailer over 750kg. Therefore, this course is ideal for schools, charities, care homes, and community transport providers who need extra space for luggage, wheelchairs, or equipment.
This training is for drivers who already hold a valid Category D1 licence. Once you meet this requirement, you begin 12 hours of hands-on training with a DVSA-approved instructor.
During the course, you practise trailer reversing, safe coupling and uncoupling, and on-road driving with a minibus and trailer combination. Because your course hours also include the Module 3a reversing test and the Module 3b on-road test, you complete both training and testing within one package. As a result, you leave the course confident and test-ready.
