The Cat D1+E 8 Hour Course with GS Driver Training is the quickest way to upgrade your D1 licence with trailer entitlement. With this licence, you can drive a minibus with 9–16 passenger seats and tow a trailer weighing over 850kg. Therefore, this short course is ideal for confident drivers or those with prior towing experience who only need focused training before taking the test.
This course is designed for drivers who already hold a valid Category D1 licence. Once that requirement is met, you move directly into 8 hours of practical training with one of our DVSA-approved instructors in a modern minibus and trailer.
During your training, you will practise coupling and uncoupling, reversing a trailer, and on-road driving with a minibus and trailer combination. Because the Cat D1+E 8 Hour Course also includes both the Module 3a reversing test and the Module 3b on-road test, you complete everything in one efficient package. As a result, you gain the skills, knowledge, and licence in the shortest possible time.
