Initial CPC MOD 2 and 4 Training- Simple Guide

The Initial CPC training is made up of two parts-

  • Module 2 – Theory Exam
  • Module 4 – Practical Exam
  • This course is for individuals who prefer to drive big vehicles such as trucks, lorries, or trailers for work.

Why Is Initial CPC MOD 2 and 4 Important?

If you prefer to drive a hard or large goods vehicle (LGV/HGV), having a Driver CPC document is crucial. It offers that you have finished the needed theory and practical tests and that you are certified to drive commercially.
To have CPC valid, you are also required to do 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years.
After finishing the CPC training and passing both modules, you will get a CPC card. You should always carry this card with you while driving a commercial vehicle.

What Is Module 2? (Theory Test)

  • This is the theory part of the CPC training.
  • The test is 90 minutes long.
  • It includes 6 to 7 case studies based on real-life driving situations.
  • The questions are related to HGV/LGV driving, road safety, and daily driver duties.
