The Class 1 HGV 20 Hour Course with GS Driver Training is designed for learners who want more time behind the wheel before taking their test. This training leads to your Category C+E licence, also known as the Class 1 LGV or HGV licence. With this qualification, you can drive articulated lorries or drawbar combinations over 7.5 tonnes. Therefore, it is essential for anyone planning to work in long-haul transport, logistics, or distribution.
Unlike our shorter 16-hour course, the 20-hour option provides additional time to practice reversing, coupling and uncoupling, and on-road driving skills. As a result, you’ll have more opportunity to refine your technique and build confidence. The course includes 20 hours of practical training with a DVSA-approved instructor as well as your Module 3a off-road reversing test and your Module 3b on-road test. Everything is arranged as part of your training, making the process simple and stress-free.
